Manchester United could be handed a potential transfer blow thanks to Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane.

United will already have an eye on the potential business they will look to complete during the summer transfer window after a relatively quiet January. Patrick Dorgu arrived on a permanent deal from Serie A club Lecce, while the Reds also signed Ayden Heaven from Arsenal before the deadline.

There have already been rumours of the players that United may look to target when the transfer window reopens at the end of the season. One player who has been linked with United, particularly since Ruben Amorim was appointed as head coach, is Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres.

United were heavily linked with signing a striker before Monday's deadline, with Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel tipped to move to Old Trafford before he signed for Tottenham Hotspur on loan. A fresh report has claimed Kane's future at Bayern could go on to impact a deal that may affect United.

The Telegraph have reported that Kane, who was once a United target, has a release clause in his contract which will be active in the summer. The report comes after German news outlet Sport Bild relayed that Kane will have a clause worth £54million during the summer transfer window.

The report in The Telegraph has gone on to suggest that Bayern are already putting plans in place in the event that Kane does leave at the end of the season. As a result, Bayern are apparently considering a move for Gyokeres to replace Kane, with RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko also identified as a potential target.

It remains to be seen if United will try to sign Gyokeres in the summer. The striker helped Sporting and Amorim win the league title in Portugal last season and has already scored 34 goals in 33 appearances this term.
